My other half has been a patient here since November. We started with Dr. Vellek, retired December 5, 2026. Great doctor. He came up with a plan for my other half and he has done well. In October of 2025, we went to the ER here at MCCH, unfortunately it wasn't a long stay since he was diagnosed with Acute Renal Failure. The transferring hospital gave us the bad news, stage 4 cancer (found in his bones), but after a few short hours, prostate cancer (PSA 1268). I love the facility ace most of the staff. I was told I barely had cancer from Dr Vellek!
We were rudely treated by Dr. Vellek and never received an apology from anyone at the cancer center, just a reminder to those in need
My mother has been seeing Dr.Vallek for a few months and is not happy over all with him. Has no compassion or bedside manor at all. Have an issue and need to get a hold of him? Good luck! He doesn't get back to you. Highly recommend if you're in need of an oncologist that you don't go to him!
