Anonymous I used to love shopping at once upon a child but over the past year I have had a change of heart. I brought in two huge bags of clothes and toys. Some of the clothes were BRAND NEW and some were gently used. They only bought 1 sweatshirt, 1 pair of shoes and 2 toys. Once upon a child for new and gently used clothes Once Upon a Child carries new and used clothing for infants, children and maternity. They also carry and rent breastfeeding supplies and toys. This is a great money saving place to find gently used items with a lot of life left in them.
Cathy I also am not impressed with them In the beginning of motherhood, 4 years ago, I thought they were great. Now, not so much. I've had them not buy things from me saying stains, poor condition, when they're not. Then, when I look on the racks, there's clothing with stains, holes, and Target, Wal-Mart, and KMart brands that are marked the same or higher than if you bought them new at the original store. Snooty and rude for a thrift shop Incredibly rude. Staff seems too busy doing nothing to be helpful. Just go to Goodwill or any other thrift shop.
"Do Not Enter... We Hate You" Just another secondhand shop with pretensions of retail. This place has the added twist of weird and hostile owners & staff and as a bonus, the prices for the used to used-up clothing are ridiculous.
Ms RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! I wish i could give a -5 star. Very poor level of customer service and professionalism is displayed by the new owners Todd & Piggie Hines. I will never return to this store nor the North Area store and every parent that I come in contact with at my child's school, at work, church, shopping or in general conversation will be told to not patronize their establishments.
Horrible!! This is for the Independence location in Charlotte, NC. This place is worst than a pawn shop! I went today and took a Arm's Reach co-sleeper, Baby Trend pack n play, and a vibrating napper. All items together were over $400, and I checked Amazon and Ebay prices before I went. I got a measly $83!!! While I was cashing out the manager changed my price to $75. I wasn't expecting a gold mine. Awful Awful Awful We visited the Raleigh location this weekend and we will not be going back. The staff there were so unbelievably rude and unhelpful. I am surprised they could actually be bothered to turn up to work as they certainly couldn't be bothered to treat their customers properly. I have experienced awful service before but I have never experienced anything as dire as the behavior of the people who work in this store.
