New and used baby stuff.... ? This place sells both new and used baby/toddler items. When I was there they had several crib mattresses, strollers, car seats, all new in boxes. Prices are O.K. for used items, but not-so-great for anything that's new. There was a TON of little girl items, but not many for little boys. As far as trading goes, this is the best place in town. They do take stuff every time I bring items in, and give a fair price. Watch for their clearances, which are fantastic!!!!!
What a disappointment I am extremely upset with the staff and the store in general. I took a box of my daughters clothes in yesterday that easily had 50 items in it and lucky me they took 18 of them, but the others were rejected for the claim they were too worn. First of all my daughter is only 9 months old so really how much could she have worn out brand new clothing or added new wear to already used clothes? Second of all many of the other items were items I had originally purchaced from once upon a child a max of three mo... read more
Disappointed in WV I live approximately 1.5 hours away from the store in Christiansburg, VA so when I take the time to drive there I expect outstanding customer service but thats NEVER the case! The last time I was there I took in 2 'bags' of my son's barely used clothing. No-one spoke when I came in the door and when I laid the clothing on the counter, they quickly copped an attitude and told me that the items had to be in a box or they wouldnt accept them. I was blown away at how rude they were and where was I going to get... read more
Good Place, bad customer service Hi I just took a bunch of my old kids clothes there, I got very little store credit-Like one of my toys I took was those kids 'unbreakable' cameras, I had the book, CD and the computer hook up for it, originally $60 and my son never used it. The store only gave me $10. but I did find some good deals. Though I have to say the customer service was very poor. The girl at the check out had a bad attitude. When we took our stuff to the counter she just rolled her eye's, she never had a friendly at... read more
Will never use them again for anything. This could be a good business if the staff was more professional and better educated to be purchasing childrens items. Seriousely how much knowledge does an average 20 year old have purchasing items for a child. USE CRAIGSLIST or EBAY instead. Today I dropped of a tote full of shoes, bottles and clothing. They purchased 6 items for 5$ the shoes alone cost for than that. I am sure they will sell them for about 4$. The items were like new some had never been worn. I will never purchase o... read more
Good selection on new and used childrens clothes and toys But I find that they are somewhat expensive. I have found pants hanging on the rack with the knees alreay worn badly and just because the name says Gymboree they want at least $5-$7 each. You can sell or trade in your used childrens gear there also but you get practically nothing for them. I would just as soon give them away. I have found some good bargains and would not ever discouage anyone to shop there, I still go there hoping to find that great deal but rarely do... read more
Great Selection! I am sorry that the other posters have had poor experiences with the OUAC staff. I find the opposite. I am almost always greeted when I come in, they help when I need it, and are always chatty when I check out. The prices are great compared to any other stores and I usually find nicer clothes there than I do anywhere else. On top of that the toy area is a great place to "try out" toys to see if your child is really interested in them. Please try them again and go in with a smile expecting to have a great tim... read more
Gently used clothing and toys-to buy or sell A great place to help stretch a dollar! I can sell my childrens outgrown clothing for cash or trade and pick up items for them to wear at the same time! Some that look like brand new! PROS: Great way to clean out closets without the yardsale! CONS: You get more in trade than in cash-and sometimes less than what U wish.
Once Upon a Child I was really not impressed. I found that they put together their own sets and are often different sizes put together. I also found several items that were stained or torn. They will only buy your clothes if they are from upscale shops like Gymboree, GAP, The Children's Place. I actually overheard one of their employees telling a lady that they didn't buy her clothes that she had brought in because they were cheap, from Target, Wal-Mart, Ross, etc. What a complete disappointment this store was.
