About this business

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made right at your table. Everything pairs nicely with a grande margarita, and of course, enjoy the always endless chips and salsa.

If you're looking for a place to go for taco Tuesday in San Diego then this is the spot. Award worthy Margaritas, a bucket of Mexican beers, and delicious tacos at a low price. It would be insulting to go anywhere else.

Manager of Local Restaurant Indifferent to Guest's Concerns – Arrived at 11:30 a.m. just before lunch with computer and notebook in hand. We ate their for my birthday. We had 8 people. The food and the service was outsatnding. Justin was our server and he was extremely fun. The margaritas were killer, expecially the big 27 oz. The chips and salsa were great as always and we love this place. Plus I got a complimentary brownie sundae for my birthday.

Food looked great, but tasted ... – Visually attractive food presentation, all dishes our family ordered. If only you could "eat with your eyes ..." Tortilla soup was made with precooked frozen mesquite-grilled chicken breasts sliced, plenty of corn and rice, canned broth, and a few pieces of fresh squash; very salty. Brisket tacos flavored with Southern style barbecue sauce on flour tortillas, rather than Mexican spices. Large double stacked quesadilla stuffed with sauteed onions and red bell peppers; tiny portion sour crea... read more

Good tex-mex – More of a Tex-Mex chain than anything, On The Border features some interesting menu items, such as their shrimp scampi, which I liked. I didn't care for their sour cream covering alot of their dishes. The chips and salsa were good. A bit pricey for what it was.
