Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made right at your table. Everything pairs nicely with a grande margarita, and of course, enjoy the always endless chips and salsa.

Badly needs enprovement with cleaning bathrooms to food service. Food nasty and served cold makes you want to come back time and time again.
On The Border in El Cajon is the most friendly place. My husband and I go every Friday night and we love Alicia, Cole and the entire staff! It is nice to go somewhere that makes you feel like family!
Place is the best for cold cervesa, chips n salsa and Mexican food. It's all pretty good!
The waitress was very nice and the food was delicious. Everything was perfect!!
Every time we come here, there's a problem. I keep coming hoping it's going to go back to how it used to be. Tonight, the computers were down and it took longer to get the check than it did to get the meal. Then, they couldn't process our gift cards or credit card. Used to be packed in here. Tonight only 6 tables had customers. Guess I'm not the only one who's noticed.
Margaritas are great
It took 35+ minutes for our appertizers an on top of that, a few were cold......for not being as busy it sure took along time to bring out all our food........i work in a restaurant in la jolla, an this is unexceptable for service......
This is the place where I take my guests from out side Cal.
Didn't like the food. Sorry! Imitation mexican food. :(
