give back From the volunteer side or perspective, volunteering for the Children's Hospital is a worthwhile and educating experience. They really put you to work and you can soak in a lot of the medical jargon even at the most menial tasks. It can be tough to get signed up since a lot of people are vying for a spot because they have this glorified idea of working as a candy striper. There is high competition among highschoolers who need the hours.
Wonderful Place CHO is a great hospital. Our son was in the ICN for 1 mo. and had 3 surgeries there in the past 5 years. The care has been consistently wonderful. Everyone there makes it a special place from the time you enter at the guest desk, the nurses, doctors, surgeons, and the folks who call after the treatment to follow up. They save lives, our sons life is one of many.
Miracle workers This is a hospital that is dedicated to children all over the world. The doctors here are miracle workers on saving lives and making a difference to families around the world. Please come here from all over sometimes by choice sometimes not. They are wonderful .. wonderful people.
Wonderful group of doctors and nurses I did some volunteer work at the Oakland Childrens Hospital last year. I really enjoyed it too. I only stopped because I no longer have the time since I am so busy with school. They really have some great doctors there that work miracles on children. The nurses that I have been in contact with were really nice too and made me feel like I was part of the team there.
Oakland Children's Hospital The Oakland Children's Hospital is a huge place and is conveniently located right off the freeway. My daughter was hospitalized there once when she was an infant and their Infant ICU is just wonderful. They are very clean, they make sure you wash thoroughly before you are allowed to enter the Infant ICU. And the nurses there were so nice, caring and helpful.
doctors n nurses This is a great organization. Kids are flown in from across the state to go to this hospital. I knew some people who where in an accident or something and this hospital came through for them! It's great.
Great Place Children's hospital Oakland saves many lives. They are a great place! There are also volunteer doctors and dentists who are very generous with their time and give kids who can't afford doctor checkups/dental work the treatment they need for FREE!! I can't believe how amazing these people are. This hospital is really good. It would be a good idea to donate teddy bears and stuff for the kids in there who are dying. PROS: Great place CONS: NONE!!
HoSpItAl!!! This is a great place...They SAVE lives!!! I've known people that have been in the hospital and without them they may not be in good condition or maybe, not even alive. Kids can be flown in to be saved which really probably saves lives! Help them and go Oakland Hospital!!
