I can’t believe this company is allowed to pull into NY waters and suck up our fish stocks. We have been working to get our waters healthy so that whale and other populations come back. This company is disrupting that in a super dangerous way. Get out of NY!!!
This company is depleting our menhaden stocks for corporate profit. The forage base in our ecosystem is being undermined, hurting all other species that depend on menhaden for their survival. Perhaps those responsible should pick up a copy of " The Most Important Fish in the Sea" by H. Bruce Franklin.
Stop over fishing Menhaden!
Omega Protein has commercial fishing vessels working less than 300 yards off public beaches in the Cheasapeake Bay. They are regularly fined for dumping into the Chesapeake Bay. Time to shut them down.
