The Dr told me he could not give me numbing medicine before performing a painful ablation procedure, where he burns your nerves. It was excruciating and he was insensitive- worried patients in the waiting room would hear me crying. This was a few years ago and I have spoken with 3 family members and friends who all told me they had successful ablations with where their doctors gave numbing medication and were shocked at this practice. My ablation failed and I after I was left with increased weakness on my left leg.
I have had three injections I was in and out in minutes since he is a master at performing these. I have had great results after injections allowing me to return to work and full function. He had a great staff including office help who communicated to my work to have a leave approved. His NP Tracey is also great. You are in great hands with this entire office.
Find another pain management specialist. Went to him for several diagnostic injections. Spent a lot of out of pocket money for nothing. He was and maybe still is using lidocaine with diagnostic injections. As I later found out from going to a great pm doctor, lidocaine wears off to fast, maybe an hour so you can't tell if it works. Find a doctor who use bupivocaine that lasts several hours. Terrible at diagnosing where pain is coming from and not compassionate at all. No personality.
He does not seem to present the serious risk that future surgery will fail due to cortisone administration. Moreover cortisone can push a person into diabetes, and Cushing's disease. Stay away.
Dr. El Abd is a magical life saver!
He is the best doctor .. I used to visit many doctors and did not get the appropriate treatment .. I started the treatment sessions with Dr. Omar and I felt really better
Love this man. He has helped me for years. Very knowledgeable.
Dr. El Abd is truly wonderful and excellent in his skill as a spine doctor. At first I was skeptical of cortisone treatments helping my very painful pinched nerve. My pain is now minimal (at the most and if at all) and I have Dr. El Abd to thank for it!
Dr El Abd is amazing! I've known him for about 8 years. He has fixed my back issues several times now. I would never go to anyone else...He's the BEST! I'm so glad that I found him.
