Do Not get a niseen fundoplication. Try another way. I had the surgery in 3/2025 and am now on hospice. I am full of regret. I weigh 77 pounds. I tried to message him multiple times for help getting my surgery corrected and he sent me a cease and desist letter.
Never get a Nissan fundoplication for reflux. I did and regret it every day, apparently permanent complications and the reflux is back, worse than before. Plus a horrible hospital experience at Mercy. I wish I never agreed to this surgery.
One of a kind doctor. His bedside manner and his care for patients AND their families is unmatchable. He saved our dad’s life during an intricate 10 hour surgery and we will forever be grateful. He is humble, and kind, and goes above and beyond. Truly an amazing doctor.
Dr Awiss is excellent my Dad is 91 and just had his Hiatyel Hernia repaired . They explained everything in great detail had surgery on Wednesday and was home Friday. Highly recommend him
Had an EGD with dilation done by Dr. Awais and honestly… 10/10 experience! Never thought I’d describe anything involving a scope as “smooth,” but here we are.. From start to finish, everything was handled with total professionalism, clear communication, and a surprisingly calming bedside manner.
