I have seen Dr Bakare multiple times for a few years. Recently I went to her with a sleep problem. She did not care. I felt her answers were sarcastic and unhelpful. I told her I felt ignored, she did apologize that I felt that way but she continued to not listen to my problems.
My wife recently saw dr bakare. My wife was told she wasn’t pregnant but ended up being pregnant like she knew she was. That wasn’t necessarily the biggest issue though. Our issue was that the doctor didn’t seem to care, she just kept saying “oh it’s probably a miscarriage then” after disclosing my wife has spotting. Long story short: My daughter passed away and this doctor eventually told me to get over it and move on. She would not sign FMLA paperwork for me as the year mark was approaching because she said she couldn’t “justify” why I “still” needed time to get over it and questioned why I was “still” sad and having a hard time. She stated to me (in writing) that it was my “fault” that I was struggling and that it wasn’t “fair” to her that I ask her to sign paperwork to excuse my behavior. Dr Bakare is an amazing doctor who listens to her patients and helps them get the assistance they need. She helped me get on track with the tests I were due for which helped save my life. I can't thank her enough and am so glad I met her and that she is my doctor.
