Dr. Wallach is an exceptional surgeon. Often, when I hear about back surgeries the actual outcome is less than optimal. That has NOT been my experience. I was literally taken to the operating area in a wheel chair due to severe nerve pain in my back and right leg. Two months ago Dr. Wallach performed surgery on me. When I first went to see Dr. Wallach I was suffering from sciatic pain. Following a series of X-rays, CT scans and an MRI, Dr. Wallach said that ultimately the solution would be surgery. I was not keen on back surgery so he said we could try Physical Therapy and Epidural treatments, which we did. The first epidural didn’t do much, but we tried that again and it worked, for about three months. In December 2023, I had C-3, and C-4 fusion as a 73 year old. Pain existed for 1.5 years and continued to worsen with pain and numbness. Dr Wallach explained the options and started me on physical therapy. When several options did not provide permanent relief, he recommended posterior surgery. Four months out from spinal surgery and living the surgery recovery dream. Immediately after surgery my pain was gone. Dr. Wallach preformed cervical decompression surgery on my c3-c5 vertebrae 90 days ago. He recommended the I attended physical therapy for 8 treatments. I feel 100% better.
