Absolutely the worst most rude and dismissive doctor I've ever been to. I came to her presenting with textbook material infection. Dr. Slusher dismissed my concerns, refused to prescribe antibiotics, and sent me home with nothing but a vague mention of Imodium. When I tried to advocate for myself by asking questions, she was visibly impatient and dismissive and then walked out on me. Went to urgent care on a Saturday for strong symptoms of a urinary infection and was seen by Dr Slusher. She disagreed and sent me on my way without meds and said she would do a culture. I felt like she was annoyed with my questions. I ended up in the ER the next day peeing blood. The ER doc said I had an impressive UTI (wbc -14.2) and pyelonephritis (kidney infection). I am a 33 year old professional athlete and avid musician/guitar player. My left pinky was injured on March 7th and within 30mins I was at the Sharp Urgent Care in Rancho Bernardo. Dr. Slusher spent 5mins with me and missed my mallet finger diagnosis and the she initially told me my pinky was not fractured. The split she sent me home with was the wrong splint entirely for the injury. Because of her negligence for two weeks my pinky healed in the wrong position.
