Watching the owner shove and verbally berate employees, and actually treat customers like shit if mood was off. So many great OWT memories from my childhood circa 1985. Thankful I was able to take my family there in 2012 while passing through Portland. Kids had a great time, and my wife and I wished we could move to Portland so we could eat there every week! Hope to see a cookbook announcement this year. ;-)

For all of the 34 years, we have been steady customers of OWT. It is a true loss! Thanks for providing such a gathering spot for so many occasions. We will miss Old Wives Tales indeed.

Thanks for the memories. I am sad to discover that this business closes after today. We hope you find a way to publish or sell your amazing recipes. I've been coming here since the very beginning. We will miss you so much. Thanks for everything. Blessings to all who have kept this place going and a happy future to you.
