Great food and beautiful shops. Best Mexican food, margaritas and hand made tortillas. Great place to visit and learn about California history. Be sure to visit Rust General and the Coffee and Tea house. Only draw back is lack of bathrooms and parking.

The park is awesome!! Old village preservation is very important to me. No working bathrooms, and a lot of ground trash while workers seemed to talk to each other a lot for the entire two hours I was there, seemed absurd.
I grew up in San Diego and will ways treasure Old Town! I remember my 4th grade trip in elementary school there. It was a whole week of fun. Best Mexican restaurants in town. The San Diego House, aka the best tea selection in town! It is a place to go where you can sit and imagine what life we as like back when San Diego was settled.
We had a wonderful time, the food along with the service and the music made our day.It was a little costly but it was worth it.
