I think a popular destination for leaf peepers and cruise ship patrons. Very expensive for what you get. Service and food mediocre at best. I ordered grilled scallops and the server brought me shrimp. I told her it was wrong, and she asked if I still wanted scallops? She said that’s not what I written down. Frustrating.

It was packed, we thought we were in for a long wait. They worked hard to get us a table even though we had no reservations. We ended up at the bar and had a great time. Bartender was terrific. We had chowder, mixed salad (with cantaloupe, crispy prosciutto & cream mozzarella) and salmon. It was delicious!!! We will go back, again!
My husband and I came to the Old Port Sea Grill and had the calamari. Best ever!!!!!!! You have to try them.
Amazing! The scallops appetizer is seasoned perfectly, and the lobster roll is probably the best I have had in Portland. Will definitely recommend this place.

This is a fine place to enjoy food and/or drink while in Portland. The clam chowder was very tasty, my server was friendly and mellow and the atmosphere therein was well balanced (i.e., it wasn't too bright or too dark and there was enough space for everyone to move around). The only downside was that the men's room was a single occupancy unit which, while not a big problem while I was present, might make Happy Hour a bit hectic. Overall though, this was an affordable, well kept and friendly place to go solo or with a date.
