About this business
History Established in 1998. It was a rainy Mother's day in 1998 when we discovered the 75 acres and abandoned farm house at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With the help of family, friends, and a local grape grower, we soon began working to transform the property into Old House Vineyards. Today, the formerly overgrown alfalfa fields are lush vineyards producing grapes for our award-winning wines. Great atmosphere, customer service & beer!
We had our two children with us, in strollers, one was asleep. They were beyond rude and snotty about us having children with us. I’ve never been to a winery/brewery that wasn’t kid friendly. The wine was ok but considering the drive and rude staff we will not be back.

We love all the beautiful outside areas and variety of choices! Old House is always an huge hit for everyone we bring with us. We also really love that it is so family friendly and there is lots of space for the kids to run and explore. All the staff has always been incredibly helpful and kind. And they always put on great events: brick oven pizza days, soup nights, Mothers Day and Fathers Day gatherings, live music, etc! Old House has been, and continues to be, our very favorite place!
Had a great time with family. Awesome that Old House offers a little bit of everything for everyone. Can't wait to go back!
