While I love this restaurant, it disturbs me deeply that the hostess stands at her station chewing on her fingernails and thoughtlessly casting them on the floor...

All-American Pub Grub and Bar – In the summer, sometimes you just want a backyard BBQ kind of night and Old Glory hits the spot. It's an incredibly casual restaurant downstairs with a DJ and rooftop deck upstairs. This is a fun place to enjoy in the spring, early summer, or fall, but the second floor gets suffocatingly hot in the heat of summer. Another downside is the cover charge on the weekends.

Citysearch Editorial Review – A tribute to American barbecue in all its forms, this Georgetown bar and restaurant features region-specific incarnations--differentiated by sauce and dry rub--from St. Louis to Savannah, as well as Southern specialties such as collard greens and mac and cheese in addition to a bar with more than 80 varieties of bourbon.

Nice hangout, but not the best BBQ Old Glory is a Georgetown institution to be sure, but the reason isn't always the food. It's a cool hangout for the bar crowd in a prime location, so it deserves to stay in business just for that. The BBQ is by no means bad, but sometimes you have to be careful what you order. Many of the sides aren't worthy of too much praise. The service can be lacking at times as well. But as an overall experience, it's a fun place to take people who've never been to DC. Your table will get stamped with ... read more

The BEST BBQ in DC I am from Texas and this is better than some places there! The food is great and atmosphere is just as you would imagine: very chill and country-ish. Has a rooftop bar and people are pretty friendly. I highly recommend. Best food around.

Best BBQ. This place is amazing. It's inexpensive, has large portions, and is absolutely DELICIOUS. It's located in georgetown, and they have a great atmosphere, with two levels and outdoor seating. It has a pretty large menu, and I've had many of the items on it, all have been spectacular. Definitely a great place for the family too.

Best BBQ in DC! The food here is amazing. Whenever my sister or I had a special occasion to celebrate, we would make sure we went to Old Glory for dinner. The menu has a wide variety of foods. The biscuits and corn muffins they bring out first are to die for. The salads are fresh, and the sauces are terrific. It's a little rowdy and noisy downstairs, but upstairs is cozy and relatively quiet. There is even a mouthwash dispenser in the bathroom in case you want to freshen your breath for your date!
