I unexpectedly had to put my mouse Juliet down within a short period of time due to a fast developing cancer. The doctors and the front desk associates really made me feel welcomed and cared for. They helped me through having to make the tough decision and I can't thank you enough to all of you at clinic. I was there when Juliet was put to sleep and as hard as it was to say goodbye, they were delicate and made sure she didn't feel anything and she was comfortable. The doctors and staffs are wonderful and they go above and beyond for our fur babies! We trust them with our fur babies safety and lives that we even board them there when we go out of town!
I took my daughter's 6 month old hamster to see Dr. Claypool because he suddenly started acting sick. I thought he might have "wet tail" which can be treated with drops if we caught it soon enough. Unfortunately, they discovered that he had a cancerous tumor in his abdomen and had to be put down. To my surprise, I was very shocked and upset (I became attached to him against my will). Dr. Peuser is so good with Hazel, my shy and stubborn hedgehog!
We had to find a vet that worked with exotic pets for my daughter’s hedgehog who was sick. Everyone from the front desk staff to the assistants and Dr. David Miller at Olathe Animal Hospital were amazing. He was gentle, caring and so kind to my daughter and me. He presented options directly to my daughter and let her make the decisions. When the decision to put the hedgie to sleep was made, the entire staff was kind, caring and so respectful. We can’t recommend Olathe Animal Hospital enough!
