Dr. Olarte is a true professional. He listens to your problem and explains exactly what he can do to help you. My hand surgery at the HAND CENTER in Port Charlotte was accomplished with excellent results. From my first call to his offIce to post surgery, Dr Olarte and the entire staff have been excellent.

I was told that I could not be seen because I didn’t have an insurance card. I had a referral with my insurance ID number and my benefits were verified! Dr. Olarte’s staff could care less about their patients! Denied care because of no insurance card? They wouldn’t even accept a virtual card from Blue Cross Blue Shield!

The doctor was pleasant. I was charged extra for a splint which was expensive. It was covered in cloth and needed to be soaked in water, shaped on my hand then it hardens. The doctor didn't do this step however, it was done by a "nurse" who just laid it directly on the bottom of the sink to run the water over it. Laying it directly on the bottom of a dirty sink is not only unsanitary, but not a standard of care. If she was a nurse or properly trained, she would have known that. Dr. Olarte is a kind, respectful, and an extremely knowledgeable hand surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone requiring specialized attention to the health/wellbeing of one’s hand. Dr. Olarte’s staff is also welcoming, accommodating, and organized. Truly a fantastic office.

I've had arthritis most of my life and have been treated by many hand doctors in the past, but this is the best practice of all! Professionalism, friendliness, and kindness from the front desk to the doctors in my treatments. I'm a retired RN and infection control practices both in the office to OR are of the highest standard. Thank you for your care in the highest standard, Dr Olarte and staff!

I have the highest respect for Dr. Olarte and his skills. He explained my condition and described the procedure he would perform to correct it in detail. The entire staff at Florida Hand Center was a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Olarte has worked on both of my hands in the last 5 years with outstanding success.

The greatest! I had carpel tunnel surgery and it went so smoothly. I had immediate relief. I can't say enough good things. Please go there if you want to say goodbye to pain.

I was referred to Dr. Olarte by my primary doctor. She felt confident that I would received the best treatment possible with him. I was not disappointed. From the moment Ii walked in I was treated timely, professionally by his staff. Dr. O was very professional and set me at ease immediately. He treated by fractured wrist and I have healed wonderfully. He advised me how to proceed going forward and assured me that he would continue to oversee my care if needed.
