I've gone to Okra's since it opened in 1998. I live 5 houses away. It fell off it's mark for a while so I stopped going as frequently. It used to have a real chef vs. a cook staff. The menu changed from time to time and there were great specials. It now has a menu of standard favorites. Last eve it was like the old days! Someone paid attention to each item we ordered. You could tell something changed. Welcome back Okra's! Keep it going! I 'd love to see specials again. Jazz it up...
I have been going to Okra's for about 15 years now. The food is always absolutely delicious!
Absolutely delicious Cajun meal. The red beans and rice have wonderful, lingering flavor. The Tabasco Mixed Grill had the juiciest pork chop and butterflied chicken breast over red beams and rice with a skewer of shrimp. Wonderful meal.
Amazing dirty rice, and the atmosphere is so friendly. You immediately feel like you are down South.
I tried out this restaurant on my way to Maine from New Orleans. The food is as authentic as can be and absolutely delicious! my server (Alanna) was SO friendly and made me feel right at home. I will definitely be making this an annual stop on my cross country drives.
If New Orleans food is what you are in the mood for and you can't take a long weekend to the Big Easy, hit Okra's in Manassas. Or if you've wanted to see what a GREAT New Orleans dish would taste like you have to try here. We LOVE the Big Easy and Okra's food is the closest to being there. Food is authentic, drinks are yummy, and service is super. Try this place, you won't be sorry!!!!

My wife and I dined there for first time for Valentine's Day, we will be planning our meals there for at least the next 3 months....Everything even deserts were exceptionally prepared!
