The park is well maintained, staff is friendly and courteous, I love the dark skies and the stargazing program. It is the closest campground to the Main entrance of the Okefenokee, the owners go out of their way for everyone from being personable to helping in any way asked, they offer many discounts so most qualify and yes as some have stated they have rules, but no more so than any other campground I have ever stayed at and unlike some they do enforce them. Bottom line you want a nice clean, quiet, friendly place this is i... read more

We have been going to Okefenokee Pastimes for 3 years now and the owners are the most wonderful people you will ever meet.. They will give you the shirts off their backs to help everyone that stays at their park.. The sites so nice and the improvements have been awesome, they have wonderful play areas for kids and pups, fire pits at every site are the nicest I have ever seen in an RV Park.. They even deliver fire wood right to your fire pit. The owners are awesome and are constantly working to upgrade and improve the park.

I would definitely NOT recommend this campground to anyone. especially those families with children! The bathhouse- toilets didn't flush. lights are on a 15 min timer. If you take longer, you're in the dark! Leash rule strictly enforced, unless it's a stray... Mandatory dog poop bags, apparently you have a limit... but make sure u clean it up, or there's a $100 fee... Playground super close to highway and not fenced. Don't let the kids move any mulch while swinging or sliding....

The passive aggressive behavior of the owners when it came to rules wether in print or made up was very disappointing. They are clearly not used to family camping when it comes to multiple sites being of the same family intermingling amongst each other with the amount of children that brings.

So our family thought we found a quaint little rv park to fulfill our camping needs for the week of Thanksgiving after losing our spots at our campground of choice. Nothing about this campground made it feel like our normal Thanksgiving trip. I stayed in one of the cabins, that in itself was nice, no complaints. However, when I booked, it showed on the map that it was located in one spot, only to find out upon arrival that it had been moved to a totally different spot in t...Continue Reading

This is NOT a child or customer pet friendly campground, although their advertisements would imply the contrary. The rules seemed to be altered on a whim; it was obvious the owners are partial toward their full time living onsite guest, rather than short term customers. Rules were changed drastically from the friendly, easy-going people we reserved with to the unfriendly over the top rules upon our arrival. We reserved as a group, made it known and asked permission to put up a group easy up tent. We were not told when we res... read more

Need less stringent rules. Kids are not allowed to rides bikes unless accompanied by an adult even though we were watching from our sites. Lights out at 8pm on weekends. Stray dogs are allowed to run free but pets are required to be on a leash. All information we were given said the bath house was for everyone but we were told we couldn't use it since we had campers.

We are in love with this park. The sites are nice, they have wonderful play areas for kids and pups, fire pits at every site. They will deliver fire wood right to your fire pit. The owners are awesome and are working constantly to upgrade and improve the park. We are new to RV’ing and don’t tow a vehicle yet. I came down with a cold on our second night here. There was no cold medicine in the office store so Michelle (the owner) went into Folkston and picked up cold meds for me. You can’t get more personal service than that.
