They've lost their focus – I've been here a number of times over several years, and with each succeeding visit my experience has diminished. First the margaritas: there's barely a hint of tequila in the house rita, and the so-called large for seven bucks is only about 14oz. Upon questioning, the waiter of course tries to sell the Gold variety for several dollars more. How about just putting some tequila in the drink to begin with? Chile Relleno? THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TEXAS. – I HAVE BEEN EATING HERE FOR 30 YEARS.IT IS A FAMILY OWNED AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.THE FOOD YOU GET IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.THE MARGARITAS ARE TERRFIC.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO TRY IT.WHEN I MEET SOMONE OR FAMILY COMES DOWN THIS IS WHERE I TAKE THEM TOO.YOU WILL NOT REGRET YOUR CHOICE.
There is better...... – I do not understand the great reviews. We went here based on the positive feedback on this site, but I am convinced that each was posted by an employee or friend. Food is very (very) bland and was not prepared fresh. It took two minutes at most to get the food on the table after ordering, which means it was sitting in back under a warmer or something. I like local joints, and I like cheap, but I do not like or recommend Ojeda's simply based on taste.
I am originally from South Texas where 99% of all Tex-Mex restaurants MAKE HOMEMADE STYLE FLOUR TORTILLAS. The food was ok and the tortillas are just like the ones you buy at WAL-MART in the prepackaged rubber tasting kind. I have not been back since as you can not enjoy the food without the homemade flour tortillas. Don't call yourself authentic if you use prepackaged tortillas. I did have the fajitas and they were good, not too bad.
BIG PROBLEM!!! Well I Just found OUT THIS WEEKEND as I went to visit my father that he had dined at this so called restaurant and as he was enjoying his lunch he found a shell from a bullet lodged into his food. THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM WAS THAT SOMETIMES THAT HAPPENS BECAUSE WHEN THEY KILL THE COWS A THE BULLET STAYS LODGED IN THEM, BUT THE THING THAT MAKES ME MORE MAD IS THAT HE WAS EATING CHICKEN!!! SO HE GOT NO ANSWER JUST A FREE MEAL. SO JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DINE AT OJEDAS THE ONE IN DALLAS!
The cheese enchiladas were delicious as were the nachos and queso and salsa. Our family celebrated our Uncle Jim and Aunt Barbara's and not to mention many other special family members birthdays and special occassions. The wait staff was wonderful and I loved it when the waiters placed the sombrero on our Aunt's head and we all sang for her. The atmosphere was so festive and colorful and we would be happy to return! Thank you, From Our Family To Yours!
Ojedas This place is the best longest lasting Mexican food restaurant in Dallas. It is great Tex Mex. I love their enchiladas. Beware, the Margarita's are very strong. The staff is friendly and the service is fast.
This place has been around for ages and has very good food. Fun for parties!
