Same review as everyone else. They don't bill through the same channel as all other charges. Don't text, call or email. I just got a letter from collections because I missed one piece of paper mail from UAA last fall. AWFUL. Not that this google review will stop people From using them unfortunately, since you can't choose who performs your anesthesia!!!!!
The anesthesiologist that assisted my child for their procedure was great. The billing department here? Atrocious. They waited 6 months to bill me for a procedure that occurred in the winter then had the gall to threaten to send me to collections. They bill separately from the main hospital and do not use the OHSU billing portal. When you go to pay, the landing screen does not show your balance, only offers you a spot where you can choose your payment amount. Absolutely terrible service. They do not bill through the hospital they're associated with, and never sent me a bill for my surgical procedure. They only sent my bill directly to collections. Apparently you have to call them about a month after your procedure (one your insurance has gone through) to see if you have a bill with them and how much that bill is. Hopefully this helps someone else avoid collections like I had to.
BEWARE! They don't tell you that they bill separately from OHSU, even though they show up on your OHSU mychart bill. I set up a payment plan for my first surgery, and that was assuming that everything in the billing statement was included in the amount they said I owed. Then I got a bill from them. Since I'd had my second surgery, I had to adjust my payment plan, and I assumed that was all that needed to be done.
