Great nurses, great doctors, great surgery and overall a good experience with one caveat: waiting on hold 6 times to get a hold of someone to give a fax number to a lab (as they requested) so we can get lab results is simply unacceptable. It felt like waiting to get teeth pulled. Short staffing is an issue in all healthcare systems right now and its getting worse. Don’t go here if you can help it. I want to start by saying that the doctors at this hospital were absolutely incredible, professional, compassionate, and skilled. I am deeply grateful for their care during my delivery. Unfortunately, the postpartum nursing care was a very different experience. While there were a few kind nurses, the majority were dismissive or inattentive, and we heard MANY of them gossiping about other women there, and one in particular, a morning nurse named Michelle, was especially awful. Showed up 15 min early to be roomed for my last ultrasound at 33 weeks pregnant, my ultrasound was done in 20 minutes when my appointment was supposed to be one hour. I got terrible photos of my baby and when asked to get better photos they told me to bad, Antonio Frias the attending physician did not have good bedside manner or even try to make it right.
