They are really only worried about money. When my husband's insurance ran out, they changed the diagnosis that they admitted him on so they could stop paying for his medication that was keeping him comfortable at the end of his life. I really wish we had gone with a hospice service that cared more about the patients than the money. His case manager wouldn't even advocate for him, she was more worried about money too. Why should the nurse case manager even care about that? It seems so unethical.
