I am absolutely disgusted with the level of “care” we received at Ohio Health. The bedside manner was nonexistent. No compassion. No urgency. No communication. Just blank stares and people standing around while my brother was clearly suffering. He was having multiple spasms, visibly in pain, and instead of acting like trained medical professionals, the staff looked confused and did absolutely nothing meaningful to help him. My experience at Grant Medical Center was extremely upsetting and unacceptable. I was brought in by EMTs after experiencing severe abdominal pain on the side of the highway. From the moment they arrived, I felt that I was not treated with proper care or respect. The two EMTs who assisted me, both middle-aged white men, showed little concern for the amount of pain I was in.
