As far as train stations go, I suppose this one is as good as any other. Check out Madison Tavern, located on the on the 2nd floor, right before you'll enter the train vestibules.
I went for a beer before a train. There is only one bar here anymore and it has no enclosing doors or wall between interior and hallway 100 ft from open train tracks. It was freezing and of course drafty. Property managers for the station are making a huge mistake. No one comes here except to eat fast food or catch a train. And no one will, until they make the eating and drinking options acceptable. All the food is fast or fast casual. It could be a destination with all who pass through in a day. Its just a way station.
