I have had the privilege of having Dr. O'Donnell as my physician for over 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He is the epitome of a country doctor of years past; truly cares about you as a patient and wants to provide the best healthcare he can offer. He spends a great deal of time to explain conditions and what you can do to help yourself. I sincerely appreciate it. I'm sorry to hear of your retirement. I wish you the best in this next chapter of your life. You'll be missed!
Excellent and kind
Dr. O’Donnell is fine. The scheduling in this office is awful. The last 3 visits, we’ve waited over an hour to see the doctor for 10 minutes. The waiting room is so sad (today the loop on the tv was about hospice care and eating disorders) and the chairs are old and uncomfortable - a big problem when waiting over an hour to see the doc.
I have recommended Dr. O'Donnell to family and friends. He is very professional and takes time to explain things. If I have to wait little while, I know it's because he's giving the patient ahead of me the same quality time he gives me. We feel blessed to have such a competent caring physician.
We just moved here 6 months ago. Ive had some life situations come up that caused me to feel very suddenly depressed. I was given this pcp by our new insurance. When I called to make the appt. I asked about new patients The lady on the phone said yes they take them then asked what I needed to be seen for and when I said depression she turned rude and said they were not taking anymore depression patients. Leaving me feeling even more helpless. I would never recommend an office like this.

We have a busy practice and although we do treat and refer expertly, our established patients with emotional issues, we have closed the practice to new patients whose primary complaints are emotional or behavioral or who require chronic tranquilizers or narcotics.
I had previously been prescribed a medication before going to him, and he continued the prescription for years. Then after being assured by the staff of the office there were no problems continuing the meds while being in another location, he stopped the medication abruptly while away to assist a loved one. This particular medication can KILL a person from ending it without decreasing the dosage over time. Negligent, and dangerous. Irresponsible, and noteworthy. Choose a Dr that you can trust.
Business response:
This patient was out of town for an extended time and was advised to secure a practitioner there in Kansas City. His use of a controlled medication required more supervision then we could safely provide from another state. Technically, providers are licensed to prescribe medication only in the state in which they practice. He was advised to get into an urgent care clinic until he was able to secure a new primary care physician.
