As a life-long resident of the area I have had the pleasure of knowing the owner of this salon (Janelle) for over thirty years. When Janelle was a young stylist, I always felt special when leaving the Barbary Coast at Lakehurst Mall with the most current, beautifully cut hairstyle. I have to admit, I was a little nervous when I thought of putting in hair extensions, but as soon as I got to the salon, everyone was so welcoming! Vicki and Kira did such an amazing job! Now I'm addicted!

I have been going to Octagon for years now and Jancey is MY #1 choice. She has always done great work on my hair and done what I've always asked of her. She has also done hair for several friends and the work is phenominal. I recommend Jancey and Octagon to anyone that comments on my hair.

Very nice salon. I'm a very picky customer when it comes to a haitcut,so I stick with Vicki and Kira as they always go an extra mile to meet my needs. Great job!

I moved from the Gurnee area couple years ago and have not been able to find anyone who can color my hair as good as Vicki used to. I can't wait until I can plan a trip back there to see her again. I was also there for a spa day before my wedding (manicure, peticure, massage) and they really know how to take care of you. I recommend Octagon to anyone looking for a great hair cut/color and more.

I have been going to Octagon since November of 2000. I absolutely love it there! I have seen quite a few girls since I have started, but for the last few years I have been seeing Jancey. She is such a great person to work with. She knows all of the latest styles, and she has really good ideas if you are looking for a change. She also pays special attention to texture of your hair to be sure that the style you are requesting will work well with yor hair. As much as I love Jancey, all of the staff is wonderful. My aunt had been going to Octagon for years and finally I decided to try it after I was completely tired of the way my hair had been. It has been the best choice for my hair (and now eyebrows!) Sarah is most amazing! I even got my mom to come and try it out because she loved my hair. She now goes to Sarah too.
