RecommendedWith the exception of one night when the emergency room was understaffed for the massive number of patients, I can recommend their emergency room unconditionally. The hospital is as pleasant as a hospital can be and their staff is normally great. However, I no longer have steroid shots in my back there since the surgeon’s assistant decided to speed things up by splashing alcohol on my back instead of dabbing it. I give them a four since these were isolated incidents.
It was my first visit with the rheumatologist there. I was very nervous and everyone there from the janitor to the doctor and the nurses and the radiology team...every one in the whole place made eye contact and exchanged pleasantries. it was very different from the doctors available to me here. I highly suggest if your medical needs are not being met...these folks will do the proper testing in a timely fashion. I am impressed and. that's not easy...
I was born weighing only 2 lbs and was flown by helicopter to Ochsner Main in 1991. I am alive today because of Ochsner. I adore them as a current patient and as a current nurse/employee in the BR region (Prairieville clinic). Ochsner focuses on patient care to the highest degree. LOVE MY DRS BUT GETTING TEST DONE THERE IS A MAJOR NIGHTMARE. THOUGHT IT WAS JUST HIGHGROVE LOCATION BUT MEDICAL CENTER WAS A PURE HORRIFIC EVENT. I SHOULDA BEEN THERE FOR 11/2 HRS BUT IT ENDED UP 31/2 HOUR WITH EVERYONE BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE. FOR FUTURE REFERENCE IF YOU SEE ME PASS OUT AT OSCHNER PLEASE CALL 9-1-1 TO TAKE ME TO LOLH OR BRGH. EVEN AN ANIMAL CLINIC WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Our mother was cared for by Ochsner's ICU Team and we could not ask for a better team of doctors or nurses. They treated our family and mother with the utmost care and respect from mother's ER arrival by ambulance to her transition to the ICU Unit. The ICU team worked cohesively to keep us informed of our mother's changes and care. I suffered a major heart attack June 6th 6 p.m.. from the time I entered through the door with the rescue crew there was an ER team waiting on me. the heart cath team was exceptional, ICU team was exceptional, and the step down team was exceptional. I highly recommend this hospital. they saved my life starting with the rescue crew.
being the only white boy there I get to sit for 5 hours why everybody else got cater to. not to mention I was probably the only person there that had private insurance and was going to pay the bill
