The challenge with Ochsner is you either get a excellent person or a less then desirable one. One of the medical professionals told my mother to hold her roll when she was trying to find out why my brother had been waiting almost two hours. On the other hand some go out of their way to help you in a trying situation. The hospital has places that are just plain dirty. The doctors on the other hand seem to all be excellent and one P.A took a lot of time helping us understand all that was going on. I wish I could have given a f... read more
What a nice experience. Everyone, from the janitors to the nurses to the doctors were pleasant and helpful. We were tol exactly what and when things were to be done. We also stated at the Brent House Hotel for 2 nights. That helped make the surgery that much easier. However; I would not stay at the Brent House except if I was using the hospital.
I was left in the hallway for hours on a stretcher after they'd called my transferring hospital to say they had a bed for me. While in the hallway all of the staff in Er walked pass me as though I wasn't there.... This was at 10pm.
