The compassion and dedication shown by the nursing staff made a meaningful difference in our experience. Additionally, the outpatient team continues to provide excellent care, and we truly appreciate their ongoing commitment.

I recently was admitted to Oceans Hospital as an inpatient on a voluntary basis. While there I saw a lot of problems with the operation and people around me because I felt insecure in the environment and unsure about my future; however, after taking time to advocate for myself and talking more with my peers, the patient advocate, the nurses, technicians, psychiatric team, and the administrative team, I was able to build trust and transition to a new environment and pass on my experience to others. My husband was taken here involuntarily after a councilor gave emergency services false information. He was forced into signing in voluntarily under threat of a judges order, a longer stay, and loss of rights. I tried calling many times to talk to anybody that would answer, but every option on the automated menu went to voicemail and I never received a call back after leaving a message. My Biggest Negative Comment About Oceans Is The Fact There Is No Intake By A Phyciatrist To Prescribe The Proper Medications For Each Individual. Either Prescribe The Right Personal Medications, Or Find Out What They Were Taking And Prescribe That. I Was On Medications, None Of Which Were Prescribed To Me Or Was I Questioned About. The Groups Donot Take The Place Of A Phyciatrist. In 1987 I Was On The 7th Floor Of Memorial Hospital And Saw A Phyciatrist Every Morning.
