Owned by a greedy LA based owner named Barry Saltzman, do not give your money to someone who is all about renting only to rich out of towners and not locals. Jacked rent way up and is a grump old man who could care less about people but only the mighty dollar.
I cannot recommend applying to the Oceanlake Estates Apartments. When I met with the manager Carl, he was very nice and assured me that there should not be a problem after I explained my credit suffered due to medical bills accumulated because of my battle with cancer and surgeries required. I have a 10 plus year positive rental history in the same place, a well paying job that could easily pay the $975/month rent, and have been a great tenant with no evictions, ect.
