Bought a reman engine, a 90hp Mercury 2 stroke on eBay, did not work, compression was about 90 on all 3 cylinders, and something stuck inside the motor when the piston came to top dead center! Would not spin with the spark plugs in, I asked for a refund and they told me to send it back, I sent it back with a tracking number, I never received a refund and they got the motor back! Bought a remanufactured 75 horse Mercury from this guy on eBay. he completely misrepresented this "reman" motor Reed blocks were grossly overtightened read gasket was inside of the motor and when running was spiting raw fuel out between the Reed blocks and engine block,found dirt inside the engine dirt in the air box cover , greasy fingerprints all over the oil tank bottle and the rest of the motor and his ad says starts right up and idles fine what a joke. did not run at all also was missing the oil tank vent and cap,and wa... read more
I have to change my review with this company. What a mess this turned out to be to deal with this company to purchase a boat motor. One problem after the other. Received the motor with the lower end leaking oil and bent splines. I do have to say he did send us a refund for this repair. After the motor was started at our mechanics garage the motor was missing and he did a compression test. The motor failed the test and now the heads need to be torn off to see what other problems we have going on. This has been going on for 3 ... read more
