Loews Santa Monica has been my favorite romantic hotel for a long time. The staff is amazing they remember and caters to your every need. The rooms have the most amazing views of the Ferris Wheel. Watching the changing colors of the Ferris Wheel while lying in bed is amazing. They have the best Eggs Benedict & fruit plates.

Ok, the view is unbeatable! But that is clearly all you are paying for. Compared to ther similar rated and expensive hotels I've stayed at - the bed is hard not the soft luxury you'd hope for, only four sleeping pillows on bed no extras to prop yourself up to watch tv, no chair on balcony to sit, dusty and almost expired minibar snacks, Ihome clock radio not working, no art on walls, had to have the tv reprogrammed to work, bathtub goes under bathroom sink, shall I go on? For 400+, you could do a LOT better!

Gorgeous views! One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Parking was a pain, but I guess that's typical.
