The attitude of the Owner, Jeff, was appalling and disgraceful when we told him we bit down on a shell in our order of calamari. To my knowledge calamari do not have fried shells. His comment that I had a bad attitude for bringing this to the server’s attention was unprofessional and insulting. Said I was looking to get something off the bill. Far from the truth. As the owner he should have apologized. I wanted nothing more. My last visit. Any visitors go to Ocean Eddies. He is a poor representative of Virginia Beach.
My husband and I went into Ocean Eddie's last night for dinner. The food was ok and the prices are a little high. The view is incredible. Very relaxing. Our waitress Ceeg was awesome. She is the best waitress we have had so far on our vacation.
Service wasn’t good, long wait time for steamed food when it wasn’t busy. Smallest and driest oysters I’ve ever seen and the “generous” portions were a joke. Sauces came out congealed and not usable. My other half couldn’t eat half his food as it was harder than rocks and the staff didn’t care. The view was the nicest part.
Beautiful views and romantic atmosphere. Quiet and relaxing. I ordered the seafood soup and Betty's crab ball. The soup was good, but the crab ball was very small and just OK. I had the Ocean Breeze drink, I don't think it really had any alcohol in it. When I got home, I looked at my receipt and saw I was charged for fried oysters, that I didn't order. For desert I had the Key Lime Pie, not the best I've ever had it was OK. Had to ask for a fork for the crab ball and the pie. The spoon for the soup had slid down into the sou... read more
Just don't eat here if you're in a hurry. It is far from crowded and we have been waiting for breakfast for over a hour; it is now lunchtime.
