My boyfriend and I ended up at Ocean Bleu after a couple of locals told us that it was better than Mo's. When I went to order they didn't have the Alaskan cod like I usually get, however the waitress recommended rockfish which I had never heard of. I have to say that rockfish now is one of my favorites and the coleslaw at this place is off the hook! I highly recommend this place if you are traveling to Newport Oregon the prices are great, the service is fast and friendly, and the food is the bomb!
My husband and I stumbled on it the first time we went there and were blown away!!! Best crab cakes I've ever had! Oysters, crab, and the clams were all ON POINT!! We chose the mangoweisen beer to go with our fabulous lunch and now we make sure our special occasion road trips (the last being our 20th anniversary luncheon) include a stop in to your restaurant. We love it!
Tried this spot, overall it was ok. Ron loved his fish and chips (Rockfish). His words, "light and crispy, and not too fishy." I had the grilled cheese overboard, and it would have been better if they would have grilled it longer. The cheese was not melted in the center, therefore they committed a grilled cheese sin. The "chips" were wonderful fried potato disks and I will absolutely order these again. The coleslaw was the only thing I would say do without. Not creamy and the flavors were not married well.

Well the slaw isn't supposed to be creamy. Kinda the whole idea behind it. To cut through the heaviness of deep fried seafood.
