Despite the fact that Dr. Asgeri is an exceptional doctor, I cannot recommend this doctor's office to anyone. I've been a patient with them for something like 1.5 years now and have been reluctant to find a new doctor because I like Dr. Asgeri so much but the way the office functions around him is completely unacceptable. 1. Call ahead and check your codes and preauthorizations. Check what they sent and what the facility actually receives. Their clerical error cost me 2k dollars on a routine screening colonoscopy at El Mirador. Sadly, although I liked the doctor, I won't be back.
SO very thankful to have found Dr. Asgari, but LOVE his other attending doctor even more. I forgot his name, but WOW, he was fabulous. Took time to look me in the eye and really listen to me. He explained everything that my IBS D was doing to me, first time ANY of the many doctors I had been never explained it to me, and NOW I understand about the attacks, pain and restrictions perfectly now. He even helped me with my anxiety attacks.
Previous contact was excellent, nurse Sendy Figueroa. Sadly, she's left. Office staff, young, awkwardly unprofessional. Phones go unanswered for hours. Dr. Asgheri is very good, very much in demand. The desert is truly that, in medicine as well.
I had a very frustrating experience with this clinic from start to finish. Calling the office is nearly impossible. Every time I called, someone would answer and immediately say “please hold” without even letting me speak, only to leave me on hold for about 30 minutes before being sent to voicemail.
