Dr. Carey & the staff here are amazing , Melissa & Estella ( front desk staff ) are very friendly , caring , very professional and welcoming . Assistants make you feel comfortable and show they really care , Dr. Carey himself is very humble & explains things to where you fully understand . The wait time is very minimal , there are rarely patients waiting to be taken care of , because they are being quickly attended to - they take you back within 5 mins of your check-in . Recently had to switch dentists. The office staff is HORRIBLE. Very very rude and very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

Oakwell Dental is awesome. Dr Carey is the FIRST dentist I have gone to in my 69 years not been afraid. He is very personable, explains things so even I understand. Wait time is minimal or none and the staff knows me by name. If you are in San Antonio and don't have a dentst...Oakwell Dental is the place to go. They have 2 other dentist both very good with similar characteristics of Dr Carey. Easy to find, easy on the pocket.
The folks here do good work, for which I'm grateful, but I can't afford it anymore so I'll be looking elsewhere after the current go-round. Be prepared to pay up front for anything major. No payment plans outside of splitting the bill in half if you're coming back for a second visit (which doesn't do much good on a $1500 bill). Great people who do great work, but no flexibility on setting up a payment schedule.
