Recruiter Ashlyn Cusick scheduled a call with me, did not show up, and then unilaterally moved the call to later in the afternoon without consulting me after missing the original time. First impressions matter, and this experience reflected a lack of professionalism and respect for candidates’ time. If this is how the process operates before you even begin working together, it raises concerns about what ongoing communication might look like. I’d encourage others to read additional reviews and decide for themselves.

I received a call from Oak tree staffing company about a job. The person on the line was very rude to me. He asked if I was interested in a fully remote position and then inquired how long it had been since I was last employed. I told him my most recent job was a year ago. He responded that the company didn't want someone who had been out of work for almost a year and asked why I hadn't had a job since then. I said, 'There are no job opportunities here.' Recieved a call about a job. Was going well until I got a follow up email in which I was to allow them to represent me in trying to get this job. Which is great but that isn't how the recruiter spoke on the phone. She intimated they had a position with a company they were trying to fill which was simply not true. They found a job on a job board and were simply trying to get a fee if I was selected. To me this is scummy.
