I received a call from Oak tree staffing company about a job. The person on the line was very rude to me. He asked if I was interested in a fully remote position and then inquired how long it had been since I was last employed. I told him my most recent job was a year ago. He responded that the company didn't want someone who had been out of work for almost a year and asked why I hadn't had a job since then. I said, 'There are no job opportunities here.' Recieved a call about a job. Was going well until I got a follow up email in which I was to allow them to represent me in trying to get this job. Which is great but that isn't how the recruiter spoke on the phone. She intimated they had a position with a company they were trying to fill which was simply not true. They found a job on a job board and were simply trying to get a fee if I was selected. To me this is scummy.

I spoke with one of their employees, working with them for a contacting job elsewhere, it seemed like it was going good and I was told to expect a phone call from the hiring manager, but then I was ghosted. Tried emailing and calling back to no avail. I would prefer to be told that I wasn't suited to the job or something of that nature, rather than just ghosted. Wouldn't recommend.
