My dad lived there for 3 years before passing away in July. Everyone was always kind and very attentive to his needs. I highly recommend the Oaks at Pooler. They have been a blessing to our family.

The Oaks has been a Godsend for my Dad. He is in the Horizons section for Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients. When it became clear that I could no longer take care of him at home safely I began looking for the best place for him. I wanted a homelike environment, clean, well-maintained and caring staff. Unfortunately my first try was disastrous. He was only at the first try for one month before I brought him back home. It was mutual as they did not want him there either. That is when I discovered the most important trait to be... read more

Warm, caring people work there, In addition to good food, pleasant décor and excellent care and assistance, they offer opportunities for spiritual growth and worship.

I was first introduced to the Oaks when a member of my family needed assistance. I can say with all confidence the Oaks staff and it’s Director Nicole Hodges are the most professional, knowledgeable and nurturing out there. They treat our family like it was theirs. They know how to diagnose a potential problem even before it happens. Their in-house therapy unit also provides the best PT, OT, and speech therapy in all the southeast. Oaks at Pooler is simply the best!!

Since I live some distance away, I spend the night with my mom when I visit and eat meals in The Oaks dining room. I have found the staff to be caring, hardworking, and capable. I am always welcomed, and witness the staff popping in and out of my mom's room. She knows them by name and has a quick conversation with them. She has made friends, and welcomes new residents. Garret is accessible and always helpful when I have a question or concern. While my mom misses her home and friends, she is much more active and has many more... read more

I truly love this place and I truly could not have picked a more perfect place for my Mother. She did not even want to come here but after two days here.....she thanked me and told me she LOVES IT here!!! I have watched her flourish and be more herself since she got here. I can not say enough good things about the staff....they go above and beyond to make sure Mom is happy and taking care of daily. Thanks to The Oaks in Pooler we appreciate all of you.

The caretakers take over 20 minutes to answer my moms call pendant most of the time and they laugh at her when they have to clean her up. The food has gone downhill since she first started living there 6 months ago, so now she doesn’t want to eat it. The caretakers are underpaid so they don’t care about your loved one that’s living there, and that’s who interacts with them the most.
