Did not have trauma-informed counselors that fully understood all the elements of coercive control and abusive family dynamics. Their goal wasn’t to heal you but to keep you coming back for more therapy sessions and to profit off you financially. They took away anything and everything that could possibly help you cope then blamed you for struggling.
