This review is written by Ronna Knox! Tammy Kirby, Memory Care Director at Oakey Assisted Living, was a major disappointment. In my experience, she cannot be entrusted with the level of care and leadership families expect for their loved ones. I found her to be lacking in compassion for both residents and their families. Connie Graves, Care Director at Oakey Assisted Living, is truly an angel. She is compassionate, caring, and always mindful of the needs of every resident. They do not answer the phone. You can’t leave a message. Once they answered and transferred my call to the memory care unit, only to have my call go unanswered. After so many rings the phone automatically hangs up. This has been going on for over a month. O/10 do not recommend!
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Oakey Assisted Living. Our mom was very happy during her time there. Staff members were always attentive and friendly. Mom enjoyed the food a lot, as well as the new friends she met among residents. The facility is clean, and staff work hard to offer activities, celebrate birthdays and holidays, and respond to residents’ needs. Our mom recently passed away. Oakey Assisted living is a wonderful facility. It truly is home to great residents, they are a community of wonderful people and they have an excellent staff. The residence are well taken care of and Ms. Arlene made it such an easy, pleasant and informative experience, when getting my father housed. This is an excellent place to have loved ones call home.
