Oakey Assisted living is a wonderful facility. It truly is home to great residents, they are a community of wonderful people and they have an excellent staff. The residence are well taken care of and Ms. Arlene made it such an easy, pleasant and informative experience, when getting my father housed. This is an excellent place to have loved ones call home.
My family recently lost my mother in law, who was the sole care giver for a dear family friend, which left my father in law in quite a predicament in how to provide the right care to Tommy as his dementia progressed. After many ups and downs we came across Oakey, and have been nothing but impressed with the dedicated staff, and how they care for Tommy and the other residents and how they go the extra mile to make the facility feel like home. I took my wife to this facility. Management (26 year old woman) pre qualified my wife and said she was not a good fit. To make things worse she recommended long term care which was ridiculous. Later we found Mira Loma at Vista Pointe which had larger rooms and more on location services for the residents to stay active. My wife has lived there now peacefully for 6 months. . Furthermore it 12k a year less. Do not waste your time with the inexperience at Parkway.
This is such a wonderful place for my mother! The team is truly caring and compassionate, making her feel right at home. The rooms are beautifully remodeled, creating a warm and inviting space. My mom is thriving here, enjoying every moment with all the engaging activities. Happy hour has definitely become one of our favorite times! Thank you for taking such good care of my mom. You have lifted a lot of stress off my shoulders.
