We love Dr Oakes and his entire staff. We lost our pup Spike last week and everyone was so loving and kind during the whole process. They treat everyone like family.
I love how personable, genuine, and honest Dr. Oakes and his staff are. I live 2.5 hours away, but when my dog had an emergency, you bet when she was stable enough we took the 2.5 hour ride up there. They met us with open arms and Dr. Oakes was honest with her diagnosis. He was transparent with his prices and he has a warm presence that’s soothing to both dogs and their pet parents. The doctor and staff were first class. They were quick to remedy an emergency with my sweet Mini Schnauzer. They have a wonderful facility that is very clean and peaceful, which aided in my dog feeling comfortable while he was being treated. I highly recommend them.
RecommendedDr Oakes and his staff were there for us and our pet in a time of need. Our 8 lb dog was viciously attacked by a 45 lb dog while in our yard. We called our vet at 4:30 immediately after the attack and they said they were leaving soon and couldnt treat her. We called Dr Oakes and although we we had never met, he agreed to treat her. Im sure he would have liked to gone home too, but someone that cares, doesnt turn their back on you when in a bad situation. Thanks Dr Oakes.

Dr. Oakes and his entire staff - from Lisa at the reception and his vet techs - are great. The facility is brand new with separate dog and cat waiting areas. They can also run blood work on-site.I was very impressed and highly recommend this practice.
Honest, intelligent, COMMON SENSE, LOVING. They can always find a way to squeeze you in. They are an answer to prayer.
