My father has been there for almost 10 days now. His room is very nice with a view and across from the dining room which he loves. The food is beyond excellent and visually very appealing the way it's presented. Staff is kind and I feel comfortable leaving my dad there. It has fantastic rehibitation that care. I was so nervous about sending my grandma to Oak Trace for rehabilitation after a hospital stay. She was between the hospital and Oak Trace for 3 weeks and she finally got a clean bill of health and finally enjoyed her stay at here. The entire staff, from walking in and being greeted by Cheryl to all the nurses, PT, OT, wait staff, CNAs, etc, and of course the residents all have smiles on their faces greeting you. My mother had a nearly 3 week stay at the Oak Trace Rehab Facility this spring. It was a positive experience overall, despite the difficult circumstances. In general, the staff was helpful and friendly. I wish she received more OT and PT, but that may be a Medicare issue. The facility was very clean. The food was good, a nice variety of options and delivered on time. We ran into big issues with Medicare but I don’t think this was necessarily the fault of the facility.
My loved one who has been staying on the second floor for over a week now has repeatedly received substandard care. She is recovering from a fall and can not make it to the restroom. Everytime she hits her light it's a minimum 15min before anyone comes to the door. She has sat in her own feces for over 30min waiting to be changed and today moved herself (she's a 2 person assist) from her wheelchair to her bed because though she hit her light no one came and the pain was to unbearable to continue sitting.
