This was my first visit at Oak Street. I chose this facility because they specialize in Senior care. I shared I was there for my annual exam, but there was no examination. The NP did not even listen to my heart or lungs no EKG (I am a heart patient) - nothing. And my BP medicine was changed we no discussion at all. I talked with my pharmacist and was told the Dr had changed the prescription. Just not a good experience.
Johnnie Amadi, NP, at the Oak Street Health, Rocket City Center, Huntsville, Alabama location is a wonderful PCP. He is professional, knowledgeable, listens well, answers all questions, and is an all-around great primary care provider. The staff and nurses at this location are great, also.
I agree with everyone the people that work there are very very nice, but I'm not there to pick up a Walmart order this is my health and they don't seem to be as concerned about your health care as they are being so nice. They don't follow up, get referred out one doctor after another. Who's the kicker I've only had my heart listened to once and that's my first visit. One of the worst decisions I've made. It's great for seniors, the main problem is they have more patients than they can handle. Had me drive from decatur to Huntsville to do lab work to send to specialist. It's an hour drive for me both ways. The specialist, did the lab work and I had the results from specialist two days before getting results from oak Street. It was a waste of my time ,energy and money to go do the testing with them for specialist.
