I never ever ever like to leave negative reviews on businesses but I am in literal tears and so frustrated. We have been loyal customers of Oak and Steel for quite some time now and my son had an appointment for a haircut today. Because of Covid regulation - we cannot enter off of Main Street (where parking is available) and can only enter the salon from the back alley (where no parking is available). Oak & Steel is the BEST place in town for my boys to get their haircut. Carlos has consistently provided my boys with amazing haircuts and they love going there. Everything from the atmosphere to the services...Oak & Steel nails it!
This place is fantastic in every way. My boys (9 and 11) are adamant about coming here for their haircuts. They get the royal treatment and Dad sits down for a quiet scotch in the waiting room. Win-win!
Here’s the recommendation that I posted on Yelp!— I’m a happy man now that I’ve finally found my barber man— Josh Lange!!! Went to OAK & STEEL, Glen Ellyn, IL for a beard detail. It was my first time there. Set up the appointment using their app and selected Josh Lange since he had an opening that fit my schedule. Went to Oak and Steel today for the first time ever and was not disappointed. I worked with Carlos and he did a fantastic job, he really takes his time and you can feel the passion he has for his work. For the first time in a long time, I really felt that my hair looks great. Plus, they have a full bar. How could you say no to that?? A great experience and I will definitely be coming back.
