I was put into this facility in 2015. I went by the name "Jose Aguilar." When I was checked in I was so homesick that I wouldn't eat. Then this very nice lady named Mrs.A (as we called her) let me talk to my grandmother to feel a little bit better. There were some staff that were very nice such as Mr.josh, Mrs.A, Mrs.jamica. They were the ones you could really trust. Place is a complete shit hole, was here when it was Chad youth enhancement center. Staff were a bunch of untrained college kids, racists, always wanting to fight or be on their cell phones. Btw James alcorn, i think i was here with you

f you're looking at reviews for residential treatment centers I can assume that you care about your child. Facilities like oak plains exist due to a demand from parents' that just need a place to pawn off their problem children when they become too much to bear. These places are not for resolving various issues that your child may have, despite what the advertisements may say, or what a referring psychiatric hospital doctor may tell you. i was a resident at oak plains academy and it was the best residential facility i was ever in. it had good services and the staff and nurses were wonderful along with the therapist. if you ever needed someone to talk to someone was there for you as soon as they could be there everything about oak plains academy is wonderful i would recomend it to anyone who needed help. i love everyone there and the food was great and in school you could focus.
