I had my Air Conditioning unit replaced over this past summer. We worked with Cris Young one of the owners about needing this done. My Husband has Cancer so I wasn’t sure all that was being impacted. One of Oak Island’s owner explained in detail the problems with breathing in from old equipment plus the fact the unit wasn’t working very well good. I recently used Oak Island Heating and Air... My wife and I were in need of a new a/c since the old one was not keeping the house cool anymore.. set it at 77 degree and in the late afternoon temp in the house would go to 79-80 and our a/c would run all day and night. So we got 3 quotes and yes one for Oak Island. We chose Oak Island because it was not a sales job but more of an informational presentation and you could choose what you would like. We just moved here from Austin, TX & bought a 1977 manufactured home with the original AC, which didn't work. We asked neighbors & friends for AC recommendations. Our furnace had been replaced by Oak Island in 2014.. We got about 4 bids and OI was in the middle. Chris Young was by far the most personable out of all four. Their Yelp reviews were excellent too. They worked us in very quickly & the techs did an amazing installation. We have since recommended them to several others that have had them do their AC. Duane Mueller
