The Best Vet Around My cat Tiger was acting sick. We took her to Dr.Hillmar, first we found a seperate lobby for cats and dogs, then the care and compassion we recieved from Dr Hillmar and his staff was incredable. They treated Tiger like she was their cat. When Tiger passed away, he sent us flowers and donated money in Tigers name to a local Pet rescue fund. PROS: Amazing care CONS:

I'll never forget them. Truly the best doctors and staff! I worked for Dr. Hillmer and Dr. Smith about 12 years ago as a receptionists for about 4 years. I learned so much during those years. I learned about pet health and most important, how much they truly care about each pet. Richard and Darcy also taught me about how important it is to be a "team" and work together. I have thought about working for a local vet clinic in my town, but so far have not come across one that meets the standards I want to work in.-I was truly b... read more

Great clinic, a little high priced. Used Oak Hills for our dachsund. They offered a puppy package that was great. Plus they also do tatoo's when neutering, and like that better than micro chips. They were very thorough, but expensive.

The Best Vet in Salem! Period. Dr Hillmer and Dr Smith are hands-down the best vets in Salem. Their clinic also has, in my opinion, the best staff. The building is even designed to keep cats and dogs seperate, with each having it's own entrance. They take excellent care of our cats, and we are life long customers. Thanks Dr. Hillmer! PROS: Service. Care. The Best Vets in Town. CONS: none.

I have been going to this vet for many years now. They have seen us in the brightest times with new additions and the darkest times with lost of best friends. They are compassionate, informative and just wonderful people! I would recommend bringing your fur and feathered babies here! Call them they are great at answering silly and reasonable questions with the same delivery with the caring intent!

Very sweet and knowledgeable staff, helped me correct my bunny’s diet without making me feel bad. Took care of my bunny when he stopped eating and made this worried bunny mama feel calm!

I have stopped by this clinic twice for microchip scanning on dogs I've found. Each time the clinic staff went above and beyond to help. Yesterday, I stopped by after-hours and they not only scanned the pup but one of their vets did a quick exam to make sure the dog wasn't injured. They provided water, lots of pets, and sent us away with a serving of food for the dog since I needed to keep her for several hours until her family returned to town. Super nice staff and I appreciate their help!
